Data from two clinical studies found that people with inflammatory bowel disease — ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease — who were enrolled in one company’s IBD-focused digital care coordination program experienced decreases in both emergency department (ED) visits and hospitalizations compared with control groups.

Flashback to 2019: The study demonstrated a reduction in emergency room visits and hospitalizations among patients enrolled in the medical home model.
